Shel Zolkewich

A journalist by trade and an adventurer at heart, Shel

Zolkewich is a writer, editor, food stylist, television cook

and blogger who is always collecting stories. She’s an

avid hunter, angler, gardener and soup maker, dividing

her time between Winnipeg and a 163-acre farm in Man-

itoba’s Interlake region where she keeps bees.

Jason Lin

Jason Lin is an Edmonton-based illustrator and designer in-

spired by stories of people and nature, and impassioned

by music and film. His work has appeared in

Apple Maga-

zine

,

Avenue

,

Maisonneuve

and

New Trail

. He was also

an illustration showcase finalist for the 2017 Alberta

Magazine Publishers Association Awards.

Trevor Bacque

Trevor Bacque is the president of Bacque 40, a commu-

nications and journalism firm based in Western Canada.

He primarily spends his time in the agriculture sphere,

working with clients to create effective messages for their

audience. Trevor currently serves as the vice-president of

the Canadian FarmWriters’ Federation.

Ryan Jackson has been a staff multimedia photojournalist

Edmonton Journal

since 2007, allowing him to

work all over Alberta and around the world. He grew up

in Saskatoon with parents who were raised on farms in

Saskatchewan. His passion is creating unique portraits of

interesting people and telling their story.
