Allison Finnamore
Allison Finnamore is an ag journalist, social media fiend
and e-newsletter editor with 20-plus years of journalism
experience and she’s still learning. She’s an executive
member of the Atlantic Canada Farm Writers’ Associa-
tion, Canadian Farm Writers’ Federation and Internation-
al Federation of Agricultural Journalists.
Natalie Noble
Natalie Noble started writing in the ag industry while
she earned a BA at the University of Calgary. Her rural
Alberta roots made it a natural choice to pair her love
of writing with the opportunity to meet the people
responsible for putting food on our tables and beer in
our fridges.
Pete Ryan
Pete is an illustrator born and raised on a small hobby
farm in southwestern Ontario. Pete has lived and worked
all over the world, but can currently be found in Toronto.
He currently teaches at Sheridan College. His clientele

Lyndsey Smith
Lyndsey Smith is a farm writer and columnist, and former
editor of
RealAgriculture

Grainews
, and associate editor

Country Guide
. A proud westerner, she now writes
from Ottawa, ON, and spends far too much time on
social media as @realloudlyndsey.
Ellen Cottee
Ellen Cottee is the communications co-ordinator for
Alberta Barley. A graduate of Carleton University’s jour-
nalism program, Ellen moved to Calgary in the summer
of 2015. Born and raised in small-town Ontario, she is
excited to learn more about western Canadian ag.
Rex Newkirk
Dr. Rex Newkirk is an associate professor and Research
Chair in Feed Processing Technology at the University
of Saskatchewan. Previously, he was vice-president of
research and innovation at the Canadian International
Grains Institute (Cigi), where he spent 12 years support-
ing the marketing of Canadian grains around the world.
